Senior Finance & Regulatory Reporting Officer

Our client is a growing e-payments provider. As part of their growth they are now seeking to recruit a Senior Finance and Regulatory Reporting Officer based in their office in Malta (this position is full in office, not hybrid).

Youll play a key role in shaping the companys financial operations, driving reporting accuracy, and supporting strategic initiatives that uphold the companys commitment to transparency and compliance.
Responsibilities
Preparation of end of month reporting, including monthly management accounts
Compiling and submitting ongoing regulatory reporting to the MFSA, Central Bank of Malta, and other regulators including but not limited to BR06, FIR, CESOP and CMPSS
Staying abreast of evolving IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements, assessing impact, and implementing changes to ensure compliant and accurate reporting
Promptly and accurately reply to queries raised by regulators on regulatory reporting submissions
Assisting the Head of Finance closely with the end-of-year financial reporting process including the preparation of the Annual Report and assisting with audit queries
Assist in the automation of reporting and other data-driven projects
Assist the Head of Finance in designing and implementation accounting and regulatory reporting procedures in support of new projects and initiatives
Performing general accounting duties
Assist the Head of Finance in the review of daily financial operations activities, such as daily reconciliation of safeguarded client funds, review of reconciliations with banking and other partners as well as management of treasury balances
Execution of other ad-hoc finance tasks as required
Requirements
Minimum of 3-4 years experience in a similar role within the financial services industry, ideally EMI
Qualification in Accountancy or equivalent/Final stages of ACCA qualification
Excellentverbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to work on his / her own initiativeandas part of a team, and possesses strong interpersonal skills
High Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and other software
